Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Starts Season with Win on the Road

Christian Academy-Louisville had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Christian Academy Warriors. The victory continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 27-25.

Christian Academy-Louisville was led to victory by Katrina Oswald and Lexi Schaffner. Oswald had 12 digs and three assists, while Schaffner had six digs. Those three assists gave Oswald a new career-high.

Coming up, Christian Academy-Louisville will challenge North Bullitt at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Henryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
