Soccer Recap: Southwest Guilford Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southeast Guilford last Thursday, Southwest Guilford came back down to earth. The Cowboys came up short against the Grimsley Whirlies on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Southwest Guilford it sure didn't stay that way.

Southwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Grimsley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-3 record this season.

Southwest Guilford didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Ragsdale on the 1st. As for Grimsley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Page on the 1st.
