Glades Day has gone 8-2 against Moore Haven recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Gators will head out to take on the Terriers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glades Day is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-5 margin over Glades Central on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Kyler Burch was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Glades Day's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-9 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, James Alderman was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Glades Day: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Perez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Glades Day was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Moore Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Pahokee on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Terriers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Kenneth Simmons was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. TRITON MALOY also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Glades Day's record now sits at 6-9. As for Moore Haven, their record is now 5-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glades Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Moore Haven struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Glades Day took their victory against Moore Haven in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
