Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Waco

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Chaparral take on the Waco at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaparral's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, it was close, but Chaparral sidestepped University for a 4-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Waco had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-1 win. Considering the Lions have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Waco's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three games. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-2.
