Football Recap: The Classical Academy Piles Up the Points Against Alameda

The Classical Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Alameda Pirates 56-0. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for The Classical Academy, racking up 26 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hayden Gustafson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Zach Mediavilla.

The Classical Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bo Franck and Mediavilla.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy will welcome D'Evelyn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alameda, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys' defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them.
