Baseball Recap: Batavia Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aquinas Institute on Friday, Batavia came back down to earth. The Blue Devils came up short against the Pittsford Panthers on Tuesday, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-1 loss on May 9th.

Batavia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Pittsford, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Batavia has already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Mendon on the 27th. As for Pittsford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Honeoye Falls-Lima on the 27th.
