Highland Park had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 21-16 victory over the Leyden Eagles on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Giants, who have now won four games in a row dating back to last season.

Although Leyden took the loss, they still got scores from Elijah Martinez and Lucas Latiker.

Coming up, Highland Park will host Deerfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leyden, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Niles North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
