Pickens County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Aliceville Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 68-8. The Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.

Coincidentally, Pickens County and Aliceville will both be playing Tuscaloosa Academy the next time they take the field. The Tornadoes will head out to face the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
