Jay County is 2-7 against Heritage since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Jay County will host Heritage at 6:00 p.m. Jay County will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Tuesday, Jay County made easy work of Southern Wells and carried off an 18-1 victory. Considering the Patriots have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hallie Schwieterman was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Lykins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.
Jay County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wells only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Heritage was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They won by a run and slipped past Garrett 6-5. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Railroaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Danica Fuller made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucy Buuck, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Abriyah James was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Jay County, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
