Volleyball Recap: Herron's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Herron dropped down to 19-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Heritage Christian Eagles, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Achaeans have suffered since September 18th.

As for Heritage Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Heritage Christian was led to victory by Anna Hilbrich and Whitney Laney. Hilbrich had eight digs and two assists, while Laney had four digs and two aces. What's more, Laney posted two assists, the most she's had since September 8th. Abigail Duff also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Herron has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Guerin Catholic on the 2nd. As for Heritage Christian, after both having extra time off, they and Indianapolis Scecina Memorial will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
