Metamora and Limestone are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Redbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Metamora is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last three games.
Metamora came out on top against Limestone  on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Redbirds took their   match against the Rockets   6-3. The game was the first time the Redbirds have beaten the Rockets on their field since April 11, 2022.
 For Limestone's part,  Bryce Chapman was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, one  double,  and one  RBI. Chapman is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
 Limestone's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Metamora, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Metamora has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.6  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Limestone struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.8  strikeouts.
