Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit North Find Success

Lee's Summit North proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 61) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Liberty Blue Jays, sneaking past 60-57. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Jays, too.

Lee's Summit North's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee's Summit North will take on Bolivar in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will be home for the holidays to greet Raymore-Peculiar at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.
