Baseball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Deshler Tigers, falling 21-1. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rogers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Green, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Rogers now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Deshler, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rogers will challenge Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deshler, they will face off against Hatton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.52 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
