Softball Recap: Clymer/Sherman Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westfield, Clymer/Sherman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Maple Grove Red Dragons. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Red Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Elli Bodamer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Clymer/Sherman's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caylee Pinzok, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits Pinzok has posted since back in April. Tayler Pinzok was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Clymer/Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Maple Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Clymer/Sherman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maple Grove has already played their next match (against Panama), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
