League recap: White throws longest pass in league this season for Horn

5A Region II District 12 recap September 4, 2013

Destri White and Jarrison Stewart provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Boyd. The connection was good for 68 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region II District 12 this season.

Lee scaled the state rankings by moving to 266 from 509 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Sulphur Springs 55-20.

Horn's dynamic duo of White and Stewart proved to be unstoppable against the Broncos, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. White threw for 348 yards and 5 touchdowns and Stewart had 196 yards receiving. Del'Michael High helped Horn's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 98 yards.

The Jaguars' dynamic duo of White and Stewart proved tough for Boyd to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Stewart was the best receiver in the league this week as Horn topped Don Drake's team.

White put up the best numbers through the air as Mike Overton's team beat the Broncos.

Rico Henderson was the best running back in 5A Region II District 12 this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 101 yards as Rockwall-Heath bested Boyd. Jordan Hoy also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.

He was 19-27 with 1 interceptions.

Lee took down the Wildcats 55-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
