Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll had taken Clinton Central down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Cougars fell 10-6 to the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly four runs.

Owen Zinn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Coy Lytle was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Carroll has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Clinton Central, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Carroll will head out on the road to square off against Northwestern at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
