Flag Football Recap: Dougherty Valley Takes a Loss

Dougherty Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Amador Valley Dons 47-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 37-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Dougherty Valley lost, don't look at Kaitlyn Lohe. Despite the final result, she rushed for 180 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 226 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.7% of her passes.

Dougherty Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Amador Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Dougherty Valley will take on Livermore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amador Valley, they will face off against Campolindo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so the Dons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
