Football Recap: Dorchester Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lee Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dorchester Academy). They blew past the Lee Academy Cavaliers 62-29 on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for the Raiders, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Dorchester Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Quattlebaum out in front who threw for 188 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Quattlebaum has posted since back in November of 2024. Dorchester Academy's leading receiver Noah Risher was Quattlebaum's top target yet again, picking up 137 receiving yards and three TDs.

Dorchester Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Dorchester Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lee Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Dorchester Academy will welcome Clarendon Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lee Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Williamsburg Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
