Baseball Game Preview: Academy Park Knights vs. Chester Clippers

The Academy Park Knights will head out to challenge the Chester Clippers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy Park has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Academy Park is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Interboro on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to the Buccaneers.

Interboro hit Chester with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Clippers came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 15-5. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Neaven Diaz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Academy Park has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Academy Park couldn't quite get it done against Chester in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 17-13. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
