Basketball Recap: Latin Takes a Loss

Latin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-26 loss at the hands of the Saint Viator Lions. While losing is never fun, the Romans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Lions are ranked 88th).

Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Saint Viator, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Latin will be playing at home against Francis W. Parker at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Viator, they will head out to square off against Benet Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
