Bishop Eustace Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They blew past the Palmyra Panthers, posting a 48-12 victory. The Crusaders pushed the score to 48-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Eustace Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Beach, who threw for 133 yards and a pair of TDs. Roman Faiola was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one score on only five carries.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 20 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Delano Mann, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from him.
Bishop Eustace Prep's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Alex Hess was especially locked on to Palmyra's QB and sacked him twice. Mann got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
