It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Everett ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cascade Bruins, sneaking past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Seagulls, who have now won five contests in a row.

Mac Larsen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Franklin, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Everett's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everett will venture away from home to challenge Mount Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cascade, they will head out to face off against Jackson at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
