Soccer Game Preview: Herriman vs. Copper Hills

The Herriman Mustangs will face off against the Copper Hills Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Herriman's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Herriman fell victim to Salt Lake Academy and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Griffins.

Meanwhile, Copper Hills faced Riverton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Silverwolves, falling 4-1.

Copper Hills' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Herriman was able to grind out a solid victory over Copper Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 3-1. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
