Basketball Recap: Northpoint HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Northpoint HomeSchool lost against Anderson HomeSchool back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northpoint HomeSchool Panthers were beaten by the Anderson HomeSchool SONS 74-30. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the SONS are ranked 194th).

Anderson HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Bennett Long, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Hardebeck, who made all 7 shots he took for 15 points and five rebounds.

Northpoint HomeSchool's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Anderson HomeSchool, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Northpoint HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tabernacle Christian on February 11th. As for Anderson HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-39 victory against Heartland Christian on the 11th.
