Southwest put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the McCollum Cowboys an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Alfredo Plascencia as he scored three goals for his team.

Southwest pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those five matches. As for McCollum, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Southwest and McCollum will both be playing Jay the next time they take the pitch. McCollum will host Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Southwest will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on February 15th.
