Volleyball Recap: Grayson Comes Up Short

The Grayson Rams came up short against the Lovett Lions on Thursday and fell 2-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lovett scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21.

Lovett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Margaux Godfrey led the charge by getting 11 digs and three assists.

Grayson's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Lovett, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Coming up, Grayson will face off against South Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lovett, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Parkview on the 4th.
