Softball Recap: Mingus Comes Up Short

Mingus lost against Lee Williams back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mingus fell just short of Lee Williams by a score of 8-7.

Ali Hernandez and Julia Meyer stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hernandez scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Meyer scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Meyer a new career-high in doubles (two).

Mingus' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Lee Williams, their record is now 4-9.

While Mingus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
