Football Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kinston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Georgiana, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 37-34 on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-0 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Kinston lost, don't look at Judd Green. Despite the final result, he rushed for 231 yards and two scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one touchdown. Green also put up two passing yards, which were his first of the season.

Kinston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Georgiana, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Looking ahead, Kinston is taking a road trip to take on Samson at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.6 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Georgiana, they will look to defend their home field on the 26th against Sweet Water at 7:00 p.m.
