Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Tyner Academy's Winning Streak

If Tyner Academy was feeling good fresh off their 73-46 takedown of Brainerd last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tyner Academy Rams received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-47 to the McCallie Blue Tornado. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Tyner Academy still got an impressive performance from Rodney Henderson III, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 20 points and four steals. Henderson III's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohl Ward, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Tyner Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for McCallie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Tyner Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-33 win against Chattanooga Christian on the 13th. McCallie has also already played their next match, a 59-53 defeat against Indian Land on the 14th.
