Lake Forest waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given Lake Forest's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Zion-Benton are ranked 33rd).

Lake Forest's one-goal win came courtesy of George Thomas, who's now up to three this season.

The victory got Lake Forest back to even at 4-4. As for Zion-Benton, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
