Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Bountiful RedHawks

For the second straight game, Skyline will face off against Bountiful. The Eagles will square off against the RedHawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Skyline is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Skyline turned things around against Bountiful on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the RedHawks.

Skyline got a great performance from Andrew Lindquist as he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave Lindquist a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Charlie Billick was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. Skyline is 7-1 when Billick posts two or more runs, but 6-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Peyton PapaDakis, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bountiful only posted a batting average of .185.

The win got Skyline back to even at 13-13. As for Bountiful, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.
