There's no place like home for Sotomayor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Marshall Rams on Thursday as the Sotomayor WILDCATS made off with a 60-38 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-47 back in December of 2024.

Sotomayor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demian Joyner led the charge by putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals. The victory snapped Sotomayor's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-12 record. As for Marshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.

Sotomayor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-37 win against Holmes on the 25th. Marshall has also already played their next game, a 92-57 loss against Harlan on the 25th.
