Basketball Recap: Vista Del Lago Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

California School for the Deaf-Riverside came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Vista del Lago, but Ja'Marion Jackson wouldn't allow it. The Vista del Lago Ravens came out on top against the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs by a score of 59-47 on Wednesday thanks in part to Jackson, who went 11 of 25 on his way to 27 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Childs, who posted eight points and six rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January.

Vista del Lago's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

The future could be bright for both Vista del Lago and California School for the Deaf-Riverside: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Vista del Lago will try to hand Jurupa Valley their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, California School for the Deaf-Riverside will try to hand California School for the Deaf their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
