The Bay Rockets will take on the Firelands Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Bay is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Rocky River with a sharp 13-3 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Rockets, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Travis Ropelewski made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Chase Prudhoe was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Bay is undefeated when Prudhoe posts three or more RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jack McManamon, who earned one RBI and two runs.
Bay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Firelands made easy work of Wellington on Tuesday and carried off a 16-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Dukes: they've now won eight in a row.
The team relied heavily on Kase Rogers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Bower, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles.
The victory got Firelands back to even at 7-7. As for Bay, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Bay was able to grind out a solid win over Firelands in their previous matchup back in March of 2016, winning 9-5. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
