Basketball Recap: Manor Comes Up Short

Manor lost against Crockett back in November of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 36-35 to the Cougars.

Lauren Smith produced another solid effort putting up five points in addition to seven blocks, six rebounds, and six steals for Crockett. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Smith, who posted nine points and six boards.

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Crockett, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manor will take on Cedar Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crockett, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against LBJ Austin at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
