Basketball Recap: Greenville's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Greenville entered their contest against Sherman on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Greenville Lions took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherman Bearcats. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 71-66 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greenville's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Sherman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will take on Anna in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sherman, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sherman Bearcats face off against the Walnut Grove Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sherman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
