Softball Recap: Stringer Has No Trouble Against Leake County

Stringer won the last time they faced Leake County and things went their way on Thursday too. Stringer was the clear victor by a 20-1 margin over Leake County. With that victory, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Natalie Prunera made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Prunera was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Stringer got a massive performance out of Rylei Pickerell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Pickerell has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Madilyn Graham was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Stringer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
