Basketball Game Preview: Quinton Savages vs. Keys Cougars

The Quinton Savages will venture away from home to challenge the Keys Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Quinton is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Quinton was beaten by Broken Bow 85-47. While losing is never fun, Quinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Broken Bow is ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Keys). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging an 82-43 win over Vian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted since January 6th.

The win made it two in a row for Keys and bumps their season record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Quinton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Quinton was taken down by Keys 70-12 when the teams last played back in January. Can Quinton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
