Soccer Game Preview: Klein Cain vs. Tomball Memorial

Klein Cain hasn't had much luck against Tomball Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hurricanes will look to defend their home pitch against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Klein Cain's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Klein Cain is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Klein Oak on Tuesday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Klein Cain haven't been shut out since back in January.

Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial kept a clean sheet against Magnolia on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Tomball Memorial's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Magnolia are ranked 260th).

Tomball Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those nine matchups. As for Klein Cain, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.
