Basketball Recap: Yoakum Comes Up Short

Yoakum was the 55-23 winner over St. Joseph when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Yoakum Bulldogs fell 32-21 to the St. Joseph Flyers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yoakum's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for St. Joseph, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yoakum will venture away from home to challenge Industrial at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Joseph, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saint Mary's Hall at 5:30 p.m. on January 14th.
