Basketball Game Preview: Silver Lake Mustangs vs. Deshler Dragons

The Silver Lake Mustangs and the Deshler Dragons will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Silver Lake is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They skirted past Red Cloud 41-38. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Deshler had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Dorchester 88-30 on Thursday.

Silver Lake didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Deshler in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
