Volleyball Game Preview: Weld Central Rebels vs. Liberty Common Eagles

The Weld Central Rebels will venture away from home to face off against the Liberty Common Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Weld Central and five for Liberty Common.

Weld Central is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Tuesday. They came up short against Eaton, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Liberty Common lost 3-0 to Windsor Charter Academy on Monday.

Liberty Common may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Weld Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Liberty Common, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Weld Central was able to grind out a solid win over Liberty Common when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
