Basketball Game Preview: Midway Falcons vs. Saint Jo Panthers

The Midway Falcons will challenge the Saint Jo Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Midway took on Bellevue on Friday. The Falcons lost 51-30 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Saint Jo had to suffer through a 58-19 loss at the hands of Guthrie. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1160th, while the Jaguars are ranked 349th).

Saint Jo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Midway ended up a good deal behind Saint Jo in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, losing 48-31. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
