Volleyball Recap: Jones County Comes Up Short at Home Against Sully Buttes

Jones County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Sully Buttes Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jones County actually scored more points across those five sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 23-25, 11-25, 15-11.

Looking ahead, Jones County will head out to take on Bison at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sully Buttes, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Faulkton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Chargers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
