Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Alvirne

Alvirne took a 29-point loss the last time they faced off against Merrimack, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Broncos narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tomahawks 28-26. The Broncos' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

The win (which was Alvirne's third in a row) raised their record to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 points over those games. As for Merrimack, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

As of now, neither Alvirne nor the Tomahawks have any future games scheduled.
