Softball Recap: Franklinton Red Rams vs. East Wake Warriors

Franklinton came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Wake Warriors, falling 10-4.

Madison Lada put in work no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Madison Peebles made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

Franklinton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Wake, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
