Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-1 to the Sprague Olympians. If the Millers were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Olympians when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oliver James was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Springfield's record is now 0-2. As for Sprague, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

While Springfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
