Baseball Game Preview: North Branch Broncos vs. Armada Tigers

North Branch has gone 6-1 against Armada recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broncos will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. North Branch is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither North Branch nor Holly made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Broncos came out on top against the Bronchos by a score of 7-2. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by exactly five runs.

North Branch let Drake Dorner and Elijah Mitchell run wild. Dorner went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Mitchell went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two RBI gave Dorner a new career-high. Jaydon Hutchinson was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

North Branch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Armada came out on top against Royal Oak on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Tigers took their contest against the Ravens 9-6.

North Branch's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Armada, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-1.

Everything went North Branch's way against Armada when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as North Branch made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
