Liberty Magnet was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against St. Joseph's Academy on Friday. The Liberty Magnet Patriots blew past the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers, posting a 56-21 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Liberty Magnet's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quiana Lavergne led the charge by putting up 13 points and seven rebounds. Lavergne is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedi Turner, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Liberty Magnet pushed their record up to 15-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points over those games. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Liberty Magnet didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-43 defeat against Zachary on the 11th. St. Joseph's Academy has also already played their next contest (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
