Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Rams vs. Rubidoux Falcons

Ramona has gone 3-0 against Rubidoux recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Ramona Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Rubidoux Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Ramona knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Rubidoux likes a good challenge.

Ramona will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Jurupa Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Ramona blew past Jurupa Valley 70-49 on Tuesday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Ramona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Troy Terrell led the charge by putting up 26 points along with six boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Terrell a new career-high in steals. Cary Moore was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine assists.

Meanwhile, Rubidoux was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Norte Vista 112-46. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ramona's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for Rubidoux, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Everything went Ramona's way against Rubidoux in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, as Ramona made off with an 81-61 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ramona since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
